How long can a four-star character survive in Teyvat?

Her name is Aikefei, and she is a four-star character.

Four-star characters are not rare in the world of Teyvat. What is rare is that she is alive and still fighting.

She first appeared after a certain version update. At that time, the heat was focused on a new five-star character. People were discussing his ultimate move, mechanism, multiplier and constellation, and she was just the accompanying character. She was put into the card pool to make the probability more even and to make those who are willing to “wrong” less disappointed.

She was just picked out like this.

The player I know didn’t want her. His target was another person. He said: “I’m wrong.” The tone was like a newborn baby being taken out by the doctor. The first sentence of the father was not “looks like me”, but “Why is it a girl”.

So Aikefei stayed in the backpack.

For a long time, no one clicked on her character interface. Her voice is new, her skills are locked, there is no breakthrough material, and the holy relic column is empty. She was like a person without a household registration, living in the city but without rights.

Until one day, the player lacked a character who could hang water, so she was sent to the field.

She walked into the battle for the first time.

Her skills were not released skillfully, and her movements were not smooth, but she still tried to complete the task, although she fell at the feet of the monster in the end.

She didn’t speak, she never spoke. Her lines were designed to be very few, even less than Barbara. She stood there, like a new employee who had just joined the company. No one told her what to do, so she could only lower her head and work.

Since then, she has often been sent to the field temporarily.

She was gradually pulled to level 60, 70, and 80, and occasionally she could be upgraded to the maximum level. Once, she had a critical hit and killed the monster. Everyone else in the team died, and only she was still standing. At that moment, she seemed to be alive, and the damage number on the screen flashed, like the only time she was seen in her life.

But soon, she was replaced again.

With the new version update and new characters online, she was put back to the bottom of the character list again. She was next to Shinobu Kuki and Noelle, and she was never ranked at the top. Players sometimes clicked on her just to see if they had raised her correctly, and then turned it off.

She already had four lives. That was because she was often picked out.

Players cursed their bad luck while picking her out. Every time she appeared, she was accompanied by a sentence: “It’s you again.”

She had heard it so many times that she was numb.

She started to work hard on her own.

She brushed materials, played weekly games, and squatted in ruins. She didn’t fall from the sky as lightly as Ganyu, nor could she fight ten people alone like Tartaglia. She fought slowly, and every time she had to consume all her stamina and potions, but she never gave up.

She said: “I’m not here to win, but to stop being replaced.”

Her weapon is a four-star refined five-pointer, a book that no one wants to use. She brushed out her holy relics one by one, with a critical hit rate of only 30 and a critical damage of barely over 100. She knew she was not the best, and she never thought about becoming the best.

She just wanted to stay on the field.

Once she was playing in the Abyss, she was assigned to the second team. That was the first time she appeared in the strategy team, even as a substitute. She moved carefully, released skills, and played very steadily. That time, the team passed.

But the players still said: “It is actually more stable to replace her with Xingqiu.”

She heard it, but she didn’t look back.

She is now 60 lives. Because she always appears in the card pool. She is the character you will meet once every five draws, always appearing with others, never the protagonist.

But she is still alive.

She is still leveling up, still fighting monsters, and still running around. She walked through the night of the Layered Abyss, and she avoided thunder in the rain of Xumi. She has stepped on every piece of land in Teyvat, but no piece of land belongs to her.

She has no plot, no exclusive dungeon, and no exclusive weapon. She is like a forgotten NPC, occasionally mentioned, just for comparison, or nostalgia.

She knows she won’t be popular, nor will she be strong. She is just a four-star character. A name picked out from the corner of the card pool.

But she is still going.

No one knows how long she can last. Maybe after the next version update, she will be replaced forever.

But at least now, she is still there.
